Despite the fact that it’s super popular, I don’t recommend Alabaster for trim all that often. In this case, I like the golden beige undertone very much with the warm green of Rookwood.

Try Rookwood Dark Green with Sherwin Williams Stardew

The complementary color for Rookwood Dark Green would be an equally deep gray-blue that verges on purple. I couldn’t find one I liked for this color palette, so I went with the lighter gray blue of Sherwin Williams Stardew.

Stardew is a versatile powdery blue that you can almost use like a neutral. It works well with a lot of other colors including Rookwood Dark Green!

Neutral Paint Color to Use with Rookwood Dark Green

You could use Rookwood Dark Green with most beige and greige paint colors. For this palette I decided to go with the sandy beige of Benjamin Moore Manchester Tan:

I like Manchester Tan with Rookwood Dark Green because it has a warm and sunny undertone that works well with the warmth of Rookwood. If you want to stick with Sherwin Williams colors, Canvas Tan is a very close match.

For something a little darker and moodier, the earthy green undertones of Rookwood Dark Green pair very well with the deep gray brown of Sherwin Williams Black Fox.
