Swiss Coffee by Valspar is a beautiful creamy white paint color that can range in appearance from a true (but soft!) white, to a beige-based cream.

Let’s take a look at this color in real homes, to get a better idea of how it will look in yours! Don’t you worry though, we will get to exteriors too.
Before we begin, I just wanted to note that there is a color named “Swiss Coffee” in multiple other brands. So the Valspar version may not be the one you have seen elsewhere.

I do have a post for every mainstream Swiss Coffee paint color.
If you are shopping at Lowe’s, you may assume that Valspar Swiss Coffee would be the same as Sherwin Williams Swiss Coffee, but SW actually doesn’t have a color with that name (despite what many people think). Here are some Swiss Coffee inspired whites by Sherwin Williams.
Valspar Swiss Coffee Undertones
The Valspar version of Swiss Coffee has creamy beige to peach undertones. It does not ever look yellow, but it can look quite creamy.

I find the undertones of Valspar Swiss Coffee to be a dead ringer for the undertones of Benjamin Moore White Dove. Even before I made this side by side, the colors reminded me very much of each other:

Technically White Dove is a hair darker and a little bit cooler than Swiss Coffee.
Valspar Swiss Coffee in the Living Room
First let’s take a look at Swiss Coffee where it looks very white:

Melissa (@melmakesamess) used Valspar Swiss Coffee in her living room with dark wood trim. Here in natural light you can see that it looks very white, with very little undertone.
Here is a shot in low artificial light where the walls look much creamier:

Just for fun, here are both examples put together:

Here is a closeup of the creamier look:

In that last photo the color reminds me a bit of Behr Blank Canvas:

Here is one last living room where Swiss Coffee looks like something in between:

Kayla (@revivedandrefined) used Valspar Swiss Coffee on her living room walls, as well as in her kitchen, which we will see next!
Valspar Swiss Coffee on Kitchen Cabinets
Kayla shared her whole design plan for this kitchen before she set to work! You can take a look at it here.

In this first photo you can really see the color of Swiss Coffee on the wall in between the true white shelves. I will say that the undertone here looks more like SW Snowbound.
On the other side of the kitchen, Kayla used Swiss Coffee on the walls and upper cabinets:

Here the peachy undertone comes through very strong.
The lower cabinets are Magnolia Garden Trowel, which looks similar to Sherwin Williams Link Gray.
When Swiss Coffee is not contrasted against a brighter white the undertone will be less apparent. We can see that clearly here:

In this home Melanie (@shomshornhomerenovation) used Swiss Coffee for all of the trim and cabinets.

You can definitely still peep the creamy undertone in some of these photos. This next one is my favorite because the color looks very white on the left side upper cabinets, and creamy on the right:

Here is a look in lower light:

Melanie also used Swiss Coffee in her bathroom, so let’s go there next!
Bathrooms that Feature Swiss Coffee
Against the light green walls, Swiss Coffee looks pretty neutral, if not quite bright white.

The walls here are Valspar Silver Eucalyptus, which just so happens to be on my list of Eucalyptus Paint Colors!
Our friend Melissa from earlier also used Swiss Coffee on the trim in her bathroom:

The walls here are Valspar Royal Navy. Here is one more look:

If you like that blue, you might like Benjamin Moore Deep Royal or Sherwin Williams Naval.
Laundry Room in Valspar Swiss Coffee with Shiplap
Let’s pop back to Kayla’s quickly, to see Swiss Coffee in this smart little laundry room:

Here it is all finished up! :

You can see that Swiss Coffee looks pretty white in the better lit areas, and very creamy in the shadows:

Swiss Coffee on Furniture
In a category of its own I suppose, is Swiss Coffee on furniture. Here we see this versatile creamy white on a TV stand and media center:

Devin from @barndoorhouse makes custom units like these in several different colors, but Swiss Coffee is a favorite white!

Swiss Coffee is nice on furniture because it will read pretty white on a small space like this, but not Ikea or manufacturer white.

Valspar’s Swiss Coffee in the Bedroom
Moving on to the bedroom, Gianna (@giannacos_rn) chose Swiss Coffee for her baby’s nursery:

The color on the accent wall is similar to Sherwin Williams Rosemary.
In this next bedroom, Steph (@s_j_t_home) used Swiss Coffee for the trim and Sherwin Williams Sea Salt on the walls:

As long as it’s the only white in the space, Swiss Coffee should look pretty white on trim.
Valspar Swiss Coffee on an Exterior
Moving outdoors we get to see Swiss Coffee in all of its glory on this beautiful two storey farmhouse:

Amber and Mike (@cottageonthecove) chose Swiss Coffee as the perfect soft white for their exterior.

Outside in bright natural light, Swiss Coffee should always look like a true white. The only way it wouldn’t, is if you used a brighter cooler white for trim.

Is it wrong if we stay for the sassy cats?

This brings us to the end of seeing Valspar Swiss Coffee inside (and outside) real homes! I hope that gave you a better idea of the color and how you can use it!
